But, keeping my cool here, it occurs to me that this neophyte could be vulnerable to some serious payback. Namely, all foreign leaders have to do, is make absolutely clear that Obama's entire song and dance on "improving America's image and foreign relations" is all shuck and jive. Frankly, if you removed that entire element from the 2008 campaign, I think John McCain might have taken him (close, but a win). The "whole world hates Bush" was a fantasy laid on us by the MCA (media/culture/academia), and a tremendously effective lie it was. It had no foundation in reality, but.... well, we all live and breathe, and that dynamic needs no further elaboration here. But the "Oh, we want Chaaaaaaaaaynnnnnnge, so the world will love us again because deep down, *I* am a wondeful person...." IS a HUGE part of why Obama won. Take that away, and what would be left? Well, Berlusconi, Merkl, British leaders, and other leaders treated in this manner by this President can take that away from him. Make it crystal clear that they do not trust him, do not like him, are not impressed by him, and are willing to respond to contempt with same. And they should. For all of our sakes.
