Here’s a good comparison. Amazon’s Jeff Brezos responding to the firestorm over Amazon deleting books from people’s Kindle’s without their knowledge -

“Our ’solution’ to the problem was stupid, thoughtless, and painfully out of line with our principles. It is wholly self-inflicted, and we deserve the criticism we’ve received. We will use the scar tissue from this painful mistake to help make better decisions going forward, ones that match our mission.”

Now Obama – “In my choice of words, I unfortunately gave the impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sergeant Crowley specifically..”

See the difference? SMELL the difference??

Of course you do. So does everyone else.

I love that last quote, “In my choice of words, I unfortunately gave the impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sergeant Crowley specifically”. If he wasn’t talking about Crowley or his department, just who the hell was he talking about when he said,”The Cambridge Police acted stupidly”? Is there some new wrinkle to the English laguage of which I have not been made aware?
