Ok, this is what our Democrats in the Senate pass off as deep thinking and political acumen. Senator Barbara Boxer is convinced that the protests erupting at congressional town hall meetings are fake – because the protesters are too well dressed. No, really, she is.
Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) appeared on Hardball last night in support of the Left’s attempt to discredit the people showing up to townhalls in protest of ObamaCare. Boxer says she can tell that they’re fakes, because they’re too well dressed. How does she know that this is a problem? Because well-dressed people apparently told her to get the hell out of Florida in the Bush-Gore recount, too:
So this means that Barbara Streisand is not to be taken seriously? Or Mrs. Norman Lear? Because they are too well dressed?
I did not take them seriously because of their, frankly, ill-reasoned opinions. Not because of their sartorial excess.
Now the obvious thing to do is to dress down to meet Babs’ expectations. But that would be a bad move. Someone might mistake you for a member of Code Pink or PETA. Instead, I’d show up at one of Babs’ town hall meetings in a tuxedo and would encourage my wife to wear an evening gown. With a sign that said something to the effect of:
We Dress Better Than You Think – And We Think A LOT Better Than You Do.
Toodles, Babs!

I think that when attending “town hall” meetings, we should all wear dark suits, white shirts or blouses, sunglasses, and carry briefcases.
I finally figured out that Boxer is short for “Box of Rocks”, as in what the Senator isn’t as bright as.
She’s just used to the professional “protesters” that the Dems hire to turn out at events, the usual college slackers who need at fast $20, or the bunch from the streets that they drag in for cigs or a happy meal. The Dems don’t get “good dressers” so of course she didn’t know how to react.
