This one is a real shark jumper. An official White House spokesman, Bill Burton, claimed that people were showing up at town hall meeting dressed up as Adolph Hitler. No, really, he did. Please go watch the video. (I actually caught the video of this while waiting for a delayed flight in Denver today.)
Could it be that Burton conflated watching The Producers with watching video of a town hall meeting? Well, either that, or he’s lying. Which means the White House is lying in an effort to discredit legitimate protest.
