Backfire

Ben Smith:

A source on Rep. Joe Wilson’s campaign says his fundraising has broken $1 million — and surpassed that of his Democratic rival, Rob Miller — since his outburst of “You lie!” during President Obama’s address to Congress Wednesday.

The source said Wilson’s current tally is $1,005,021 from 18,859 donations amid a high-profile campaign on the Drudge Report and elsewhere telling conservatives that Wilson is “under attack” for his willingness to take on Obama.

Huge – historically huge – mistake for the left to go after this guy like they are. He apologized, Obama accepted the apology, the left is unrelenting. But the left appears to forget one thing about Americans:

Americans tend to root for the underdog in pretty much any contest. The more the left bullies, screams and whines for the head of Joe Wilson, the worse they make it – for themselves.

Keep up the good work, guys.

Tactics and strategy. The left is confusing the two. They run tactics in stead of looking for an overall picture of strategy.

Their failure(s) is/are truly sweet to behold and savor.

    Amen to that,Gaius.
It reminds me of (a few years back) that letter Harry Reid sent to Rush Limbaugh that was bullying in it’s content. Well, Rush publicized it on his radioshow that he put it up for sale on Ebay. Some really rich lady in Connecticut bought it for just over $2 million. Rush then matched the amount himself and donated all the dough to his favorite charity-The Marine Corps Foundation.
So I say good for Joe Wilson. A South Carolinian is what it took to start the Revolution Against Political Correct.
