Here’s a shocker. The White House itself says that the Marxman-Wacky Crap and Tax bill could cost American families as much as $1,761 per year in additional energy costs. Per year.
The Obama administration has privately concluded that a cap and trade law would cost American taxpayers up to $200 billion a year, the equivalent of hiking personal income taxes by about 15 percent.
A previously unreleased analysis prepared by the U.S. Department of Treasury says the total in new taxes would be between $100 billion to $200 billion a year. At the upper end of the administration’s estimate, the cost per American household would be an extra $1,761 a year.
That is a lot – a real lot. And it is - make no mistake – a tax on the middle class of huge proportions. This is nothing more than a wealth redistribution scheme and a bureaucracy-building program for the Federal government.
More than that, it will lead to additional costs for everything that uses energy. Food will cost more, the things you buy will cost more, eating out in a restaurant will cost more - everything will cost more. A lot more. So the hit will be amplified. It will cost jobs, steal wealth and ruin us as a great nation.
That is it will cost whatever jobs, wealth and greatness is left after the ObamaCare health care “reform” robs us and our children of the future.
And it will not do one darn thing about dropping carbon in the atmosphere – something its crafters realize full well. It is a lie, top to bottom.
