Safe

The missing six-year old boy who was reported to have taken off in a home-built helium balloon in Colorado has been found. He’s safe and sound at the house the balloon was launched from – he never went up in the contraption.

I suspect it will be a bit rocky for the family while the media lasers are focused on them.

    I’m just sayin’ …

BTW, I was sitting for over an hour while this was going on in the ER with my sick 4 yr old g-son chatting with the staff and security there (my oldest daughter, his Mum, was on duty as an RN while we were there) some of them former military. They were all having a mash-up session about how to get the balloon down before it either crashed or climbed so high the kid died from the cold and lack of O2.

NOT funny if it was a publicity stunt. The country is already stressed out. Kid/Family wants attention??

Take a darn cub scout camping gadget to school.

The kid spilled the beans on TV. He said the reason he didn’t come out of hiding when he heard his parents calling for him was because “it was for the show.”

His parents looked like a couple of rats caught in the headlights. The cops are going to have another look at the family, especially the father’s story. Nothing’s conclusive yet, but the skeptics are asking pointed questions, and the parents have gone to ground.

Yeah, he spent the morning puking on the fawning network morning shows.

I can’t help but think this is some sort of microcosm of our country right now. Crisis! Panic the masses! Take drastic action! Punked at the source.

If I’ve lost you just compare and contrast the orchestration coming out of the DC government the last 10 months to this episode yesterday.
