Gee, ACORN Lied? Whodathunkit….
Breitbart strikes again. When the first series of sting videos showing ACORN employees cheerfully trying to help two people they thought were a pimp and a prostitute set up a brothel featuring underaged girls brought into the country illegally, ACORN defended itself. They said that they had thrown the couple out of their Philadelphia office and called the cops.
Well, Breitbart revealed video of the Philadelphia visit today. And it did not happen the way ACORN said it did. At all. In fact, the “pimp” and “prostitute” had a nice little chat with the very woman who defended ACORN’s actions.
Every, single news outlet that reported ACORN’s lies now has a major problem. They repeated what ACORN told them – and now it turns out that they were lied to just as much as the rest of us were.
Will they retract their stories? Will they apologize to readers and viewers?
Will they turn on ACORN like a pack of rabid wolverines?
That would have been the response of the media not many years ago. If you got caught telling them lies, all hell would break loose. Let’s see if there is a spark of that old, professional journalism out there.
Or if they really are tame lapdogs for the left.

Would they have reported any differently if they had known the extent of ACORN’s crimes all along?
The “they” here are the owners and editors who set policy for the various news outlets. Likely they’re beyond redemption, but any honest individuals now confined within these failed institutions who seek careers as journalists must disassociate themselves quickly. That, or resign themselves to new careers in government house organs.
I’ve got a feeling that if America’s founding fathers were here today, they’d be meeting in taverns to organize a Tea Party.

I’m a little under the weather and just barfed up a cheeseburger. Katie and wosname Dowd from the NYT are in the bathroom lapping it up. I confess that I pointed it out to them and told ‘em it was red hot news that FOX wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole.
When they’re done with that I’ll show them my 150 year old documents that prove that George Bush dodged the Vietnam War by enlisting in the German Air Force in 1923.
