Is The Obama War On Fox Just About Filthy Lucre?

Mickey Kaus speculates:

Maybe it’s all about raising money from the base by riling it up. It’s late October, after all. Dems (and Dem consultants) need dollars. And those campaign fundraising dollars haven’t been “materializing as much as expected.” Just a thought. … One clue: Does the FOX War last much past Election Day, or does it mysteriously wind down? …

The story Kaus links (link omitted in the above excerpt – go over there and click through) makes it pretty clear that Dem fundraising is not setting records – nor even meeting expectations – of Dem insiders.

Here’s a thought that will probably cause brain lesions on the left if they actually – you know – think about it. If all the hooraw from the Obama White House about Fox News is actually all about a cynical attempt by the White House to energize the left to give more funds to the White House what do the the White House denizens really think about the left?

Here’s the answer: Got milk cash?

Moo.

There is no “one” reason, it’s a general multi-tasking initiative, designed to raise money, re-enlist the lefty base, de-legitimize independent media, and show compliant media what happens to those who displease Teh One, but first and foremost it’s to protect ACORN.

Specifically, Obama has to make sure the established media doesn’t contribute to the expose of ACORN. Obama, et al, can’t allow the scandal to light-up Joe Six-pack’s radar. If they lose the “stupid white vote” it’s over.

The Obama Administration’s thugs/advisers know they need ACORN’s money, foot soldiers, and ballot box stuffing expertise in order to win in 2010 and 2012. If ACORN is exposed and discredited, Dems will have to actually face the taxpayers and voters in a fair and open election, and that might just put an end to Hope and Change.
