The media is reporting that a “meaningful” deal has been reached in Copenhagen:
Despite the deal “not sufficient” to fight the ravages of climate change, diplomats at the Copenhagen climate conference appeared to have reached a deal after hours of tense negotiations even no country was “entirely satisfied” with the agreement.
The limited breakthrough included both developed and developing nations agreeing to “list national actions and commitments”, US officials said.
It’s “meaningful” but won’t actually, you know, work. Anyone else see the silliness here?
Meanwhile, Obama may not be able to get back to Washington what with 20 inches of snow predicted for the Washington-Baltimore corridor:
The Washington-Baltimore corridor may receive as much as 20 inches, according to a National Weather Service bulletin. The forecast prompted the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens to postpone the start of their game against the Chicago Bears by more than three hours, to 4:15 p.m. local time, Dec. 20, according to a statement on the team Web site.
The snow will make traveling this weekend hazardous, said Bryan Jackson, a weather service meteorologist in Sterling, Virginia.
“It is supposed to be the biggest shopping day tomorrow, but roads are going to be very treacherous here,” Jackson said by telephone.
Personally, I think it would be very, very funny if Air Force One has to divert to an alternate landing site due to snowy weather.
UPDATE: Bwahahahahahahahaha. This is just about as funny.

Funny? Yeah, divert the plane to Florida and our unemployed will duct tape old Barry and throw him in the gator pond.
Now is the time to shut down the electricty to Congress buildings. They use COAL, so lets see them put there wellbeing on the line for principles. So many want Cap and Trade and other restrictions, plus the EPA ruling, let them find out how it would be without coal.
Re Mockingbird: If that ever happens, ya better sell tickets. People will pay good money to see that. Re LYNNDH. You are quite right.
Obama’s recent Copenhagen agreement is the rough equivalent of an agreement to allow the US to participate in future efforts to agree to an agreement if everyone else agrees.
We’re told it’s an unprecedented victory for Obama, but it’s as phony as the number of jobs “created or saved” by his “Stimulus” plan, and it has all the markings of yet another one of his cheap con jobs.
Barack Obama may be a miserable failure, but he’s our miserable failure, and we’re stuck with him for another 3 years. Now ain’t that just ducky?
