According to Metropolitan Nashville Police, a man wearing a Santa Claus suit – including hat, beard and moustache and dark sunglasses – robbed a SunTrust Bank, demanding money from a member of staff at gunpoint.
After the teller handed over the cash, the man fled in a grey car.
According to witnesses, the bank clerk had asked the robber to remove his sunglasses but he refused, reached into his sack and pulled out his gun.
You don’t usually see that kind of behavior in jolly old elves, but the economy is obviously bad even at the North Pole. (The robber said that “Santa needed to pay his elves”.) Here’s the article from The Tennessean.

I blame man-made climate change.
I don’t see why banks in a hold up don’t just stuff some counterfeit money in the robbers’ bags. It’s not like the robbers are going to examine the bills and say,”that looks bogus to me, lemmee exchange it, along with these others”. It also would help catch him on the passing phony money charge, too.
