Do you not see it? Unions are screeching about the proposed taxes on their health benefits. Their Democrat allies respond by trying to shift the relentless taxation onto others. Trial balloons are being floated on an hourly basis to see if the Democrats can get a tax in place that nobody screams too much about.
This time.
But do you really think this will ever stop? Tax upon tax upon tax. None indexed for inflation. Just more taxes.
House and Senate negotiators working on President Barack Obama’s health overhaul bill appear likely to drop a proposed income tax increase on high-wage earners and possibly jettison a requirement for large businesses to offer coverage to their employees, Democratic officials said Tuesday.
Negotiators are considering extending the Medicare payroll tax, which now applies only to income from wages, to cover some of the investment earnings of couples making more than $250,000 a year, and individuals earning above $200,000. That could make up lost revenue from dropping the high-wage income tax and scaling back a proposed tax on high-value insurance plans, which is strongly opposed by organized labor and House Democrats.
On another high-profile issue, the negotiators are discussing a hybrid of a proposed national insurance exchange contained in the House bill and the state-by-state approach favored by the Senate. House Democrats are pressing for a national system to apply pressure to the insurance industry after their proposal for a new government-run insurance option was ruled out due to opposition from Senate moderates.
Unions may save their benefits from taxation this time. But what about next time? What about the time after that? What about when the hyperinflation kicks in? With none of these taxes indexed for inflation, how long will you be safe from them?
This is all about taxation and control of the economy. Do you think you’ll be safe from that in the long run? Do you trust these hacks and those that will follow them with your wellbeing?
Really?
Think hard, folks. Time is running out. The relentless taxation is on full display. It WILL come for you and yours. It will chew you up and swallow you. You are nothing but a source of nourishment for the relentless maw of taxation. The Democrats are not the friends of working people. They are only friendly with taxes.
More and more and more taxes.

I think Ronald Reagan said it best:
The government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
The founders of the Republic feared irresponsible voters, thus only property owning men were permitted to vote. Once the voting was opened up to everyone, this was the inevitable result.
As long as they can steal our money, does it really matter what pretense they make of serving us?
The inevitable tax sheltering schemes will rear their heads for the wealthy. I sold some of them back in the ’70s.
