The Valley

Jennifer Rubin:

These numbers are even worse than they might appear, considering that the respondents were “adults” — not registered or likely voters. Moreover, the sample included only 26 percent Republicans. (Rasmussen shows GOP party identification at 32 percent, Gallup, at 41 percent.)

Simply put, what this and other polls tell us is that Americans don’t like what Obama and the Democrats are doing. It is the substance of their agenda that is unpopular. They don’t mind “gridlock” — in fact, they seem to welcome it, if the alternative is more of what they have seen coming out of Washington.

Do read the whole post. She is commenting on a Washington Post poll that is both badly skewed, severely over-sampling Democrats, and badly designed since it polls “adults” rather than voters.

And it is still very, very bleak for Democrats. Despite the attempt to load the outcome.

This is some of the reason I have been saying – repeatedly – that 2010 is shaping up to be a throw the bums out election. Republicans would be crazy to deal with Obama at this point. Because Obama does not want bipartisanship. He wants his way. (And that is none other than CBS News admitting that.)

And his way leads into the valley of the Little Bighorn.

Do not play the role this comic opera narcissist assigns you, Republicans. He is a man far in over his head who is both stubborn and weak. He is leading his party to annihilation on the slopes of a valley. Bad time to join that column.

The more we see of him, the more their is to detest.
