The Chicago Way In Washington

Well, yeah.

“There’s a reason that this has all happened, frankly one that I had not realized,” Massa said on WKPQ radio on Sunday. “Mine is now the deciding vote on the health care bill, and this administration and this House leadership have said, quote unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this health care bill. And now they’ve gotten rid of me and it’ll pass.”

This could, of course, backfire on the Democrats. Massa is set to be on Glenn Beck tomorrow. He is not going quietly.

I’m thinking that the Congressional swamp Pelosi famously promised to drain is now resembling a cesspool since the Democrats have taken charge.

I’d say the cesspool is about to reach their eyeballs … triple dog “heh!”

    I’ll make the popcorn …

If the homosexual harassment charges against Massa can be shown to have merit, his accusations against Democrat leadership will have little lasting effect. In the absence of any real indication one way or another, Massa’s resignation from the House does tend to give the impression the accusations do have substance.

However, if the charges are phony, the resulting explosive controversy will reverberate well into the fall elections and will add to the perception that Obama’s Administration and their allies in Congress have become duplicitous tyrants and are unfit to hold office.

In other words, more voters will reject the Democrat Party’s candidates, and fewer potential candidates will subject themselves to the oppression of Democrat leaders.

I must be missing some of the details of this story.

Is Massa such a wimp that he quit the House because he was intimidated in the shower?

Why not stand and fight instead of running off and quitting with your tail between your legs?

Massa is, to be kind, a bit unhinged and always has been.

But we do love a circus.
