The deepening notes of disenchantment with Barack Obama now issuing from commentators across the political spectrum were predictable. So, too, were the charges from some of the president’s earliest enthusiasts about his failure to reflect a powerful sense of urgency about the oil spill.
There should have been nothing puzzling about his response to anyone who has paid even modest critical attention to Mr. Obama’s pronouncements. For it was clear from the first that this president—single-minded, ever-visible, confident in his program for a reformed America saved from darkness by his arrival—was wanting in certain qualities citizens have until now taken for granted in their presidents. Namely, a tone and presence that said: This is the Americans’ leader, a man of them, for them, the nation’s voice and champion. Mr. Obama wasn’t lacking in concern about the oil spill. What he lacked was that voice—and for good reason.
Those qualities to be expected in a president were never about rhetoric; Mr. Obama had proved himself a dab hand at that on the campaign trail. They were a matter of identification with the nation and to all that binds its people together in pride and allegiance. These are feelings held deep in American hearts, unvoiced mostly, but unmistakably there and not only on the Fourth of July.
Please go read the entire article. It takes one particular alien response – that of the Obama White House to terrorism (or lack thereof) – as its main theme. But there is more out there that is alien. Americans can sense it.
There is massive ineptitude at every turn from Obama, his “best and brightest” White House and his fellow travelers in Congress. The “stimulus” that has done nothing, the laser-like focus an anything except what is really important to the American people. The rising tide of crisis after crisis directly caused by the sideshow focus and the massive ineptitude.
It is not that there is no there there. It is that there is much less than there there.
The only chance we have is to turn enough Democrats – the enablers of this horrible mistake – out of office to effectively stop his alien agenda. Better get serious folks. November is coming and we can help stop the destruction of this country.
But we the people have to get serious. Fast.

A college professor who worked as a senior elections clerk for the City and County of Honolulu in 2008 is making the stunning claim Barack Obama was definitely not born in Hawaii as the White House maintains, and that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Obama does not even exist in the Aloha State.
“There is no birth certificate,” said Tim Adams, a graduate assistant who teaches English at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky. “It’s like an open secret. There isn’t one. Everyone in the government there knows this.”
“I had direct access to the Social Security database, the national crime computer, state driver’s license information, international passport information, basically just about anything you can imagine to get someone’s identity,” Adams explained.
“They told us, ‘We don’t have a birth certificate for him,’” he said. “They told my supervisor, either by phone or by e-mail, neither one has a document that a doctor signed off on saying they were present at this man’s birth.”
To date, no Hawaiian hospital has provided documented confirmation that Obama was born at its facility…”
