Inflection Point

Peter Wehner thinks that the lopsided of Missouri’s anti-ObamaCare ballot initiative yesterday may be signaling an inflection point in American politics:

Symbolic is one way to describe Tuesday’s vote; ominous (for the Democrats) is another.

This is yet one more electoral manifestation of the dismal polling numbers the Democrats have been facing for many months now. We saw rising popular opposition to ObamaCare throughout last summer, which many liberals ignored or ridiculed. Then came the gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey and the Senate election Massachusetts. Since then the opposition to ObamaCare specifically, and to Obama more generally, has increased; as a result we saw the 40-plus point trouncing in Missouri, a margin far higher than most people anticipated.

He’s calling a loss of 65 or more seats likely. My own observations seem to imply that the Democrats are in for a whipping on election day. But none of that happens unless people are registered to vote and get out there to do so.

One Response to Inflection Point

  1. ropelight says:

If the American people register and turn out to vote, the only way for Democrats to save themselves from the fate they’ve earned is to stuff the ballot boxes and to use Black Panther thugs and SEIU goon squads to prevent senior citizens from voting.

Democrats are desperate, their backs are against the wall, they believe the achievement of their ends justify any means, even grossly illegal ones, and they will do anything to win, including threats, physical intimidation, or even violent public beatings if they don’t see any cameras around.

Keep your cameras handy they may be your best protection from violence at the polls.
