I’m Declaring February A WaPo-Free Month. Join Me!

For far too long, I’ve quoted and linked to articles from the hopelessly left-biased Washington Post. The last straw, though, is the new, WaPo-backed and endorsed boycott of Sarah Palin started by Dana Milbank. And make no mistake, the WaPo itself is backing this boycott and by providing a Twitter link so others can join their anti-Palin campaign.

The campaign to blacklist Palin reeks of the McCarthyism the press is so fond of railing against. It also exposes the rotten core of the old media and their contempt for their readers. It is not the job of journalists to filter the news.

So, I’ve decided that starting February 1st, I will not link to or quote the Washington Post in any way. Heck, I will not even read them at all. (I’m fortunate that I can get Charles Krauthammer’s column through Real Clear Politics).

If others care to join in the counter boycott, feel free.

The local “news”paper reprints from the WaPo fairly frequently so I can’t ignore it. Oh, well.
By the way, McCarthyism was not killing by silence, but was saying nasty things about those loved by liberals, e.g., Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot, Ho and Teddy Kennedy.

Wow! WaPo, you’re sorely overlooking Dana Milbank’s capabilities. Clearly he is a sharp and savvy business-minded fella, and should be working in your sales department.

    Must I insert “/sarc” here?

I think SP likes to toy with the media, going by things like, “Hi Mom.” (Secret crib note.)

Maybe she’ll play with them, call their bluff, and do something apparently outrageous so that they’ll have to respond. I don’t know, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
