Screw The Middle Class

That appears to be the new slogan of the democrats. The democrats signal that they are more than willing to drag the US and the middle class  over the cliff if they don’t get the republicans to cave to their demands.

A top Senate Democrat bluntly warned Monday that her party is prepared to let all the Bush-era tax cuts expire and automatic spending cuts to defense and domestic programs take place at the beginning of next year unless Republicans agree to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans.

“If Republicans won’t work with us on a balanced approach, we are not going to get a deal,” said Sen. Patty Murray from Washington, the fourth-ranking Senate Democrat.

This would be known as extortion if an individual did it to someone else. It would be punishable by a rather lengthy term in jail. In this case, it’s just politics. And the new democratic slogan: screw the middle class.

Remember the loud assurances from democrats that the Bush tax cuts only helped the rich? Gee, what a surprise, they lied. Remember the loud assurances that the democrats love the middle class? Gee, they lied about that, too.

The democrats take the middle class hostage, point a gun at their heads and dare the republicans to make them shoot.

The fact is that the tax “hikes” that are coming are the reinstatement of taxes enacted by democrats which were temporarily lifted by the Bush cuts. They will not be enacted by republicans – they will be re-imposed by democrats with a gun to the head of the middle class.

Murray is trying to paint republicans into a corner to hide the fact that the tax hikes are completely owned by the democrats.
