Chin Up

Drudge reminds us that the polls often lie:

Chin up, folks. It’s September. We who follow politics know that the media cheerleaders are in the tank for the 0ne. Of course they’re lying for him.

Update: Many thanks to Glenn Reynolds for the link. Please take a look around if you’ve followed the link over. I’ve been busy today.

I saw something the other day – can’t remember where now – which mentioned that the NYT had turned on Carter before he cratered. Same-same?

The GOP itself is doing a fine job of demoralizing everyone else. The campaign efforts here are desultory at best. If it weren’t for the Tea Party, there wouldn’t be anything happening at all. At all. And only half the Tea Party is turning out for Romney.

  4. Gaius says:

Then they are suicidal. Lose the courts and lose everything.

  5. Zaggs says:

The Reuters/Ipsos poll Drudge is quoting breakdown is 45D/12I/37R. So Obama is up 4 in a +8 dem sample!

“And only half the Tea Party is turning out for Romney.”

    Sorry, but this is BS.

Factor in that poll responses now run about 9% as opposed to 33% in 1997 and you know that something is hinky somewhere. A group of us in the Romney HQ was discussing the “convention bounce” as we stuffed door hangers for local candidates prior to manning the phones for Romney/Ryan last Saturday. Most of us have been walking neighborhoods for a couple of weeks – we don’t plan to ratchet down the activity because the response we have been getting belies the polling. The D’s we meet are often desperate and there are a lot more empty chairs in neighborhoods than O signs.
