Palin has talk radio written all over her. I think she would be good at it actually.

Larry, the lack of any core beliefs, let alone public deeds and words (except a growing me-too-ism about aligning themselves with the Democrat Party) is the problem with the GOP. This has been true for over a decade, and it is of no use to look the other way anymore. If the current GOP leadership has its way, the future of the GOP will be with the Kirks and Castles and Christies and other lefties barely any different from Obama. Look how the knives came out for Palin at the mere thought that this vulgar little hick from the sticks might run for President herself! I have yet to hear a single Republican officeholder speak out against what the party leadership either did to Palin or sat by when she was attacked by the media. Why on earth should I support Republicans too cowardly to take on their own party’s rotten and corrupt leadership? If they will not clean up their own party, why trust them with any position of responsibility?

The best way to get more bad behavior is to reward it. Which means if I vote for Republicans who do not distance themselves from their current Democrat-Lite leadership I have only myself to blame. If nothing else, a boycott could hopefully eliminate the GOP for good, and give another political party at least a chance. And there is always the possibility that the Stupid Party could wise up (hey - it could happen!).

That is worse than “I always vote for the Republican”!

Vote for the person that supports (by deed and word) what you believe in. Read the label only to know where to find the name on the ballot.

I hope so! Even before today I had decided never to vote for another Republican at any level ever again. The “moderates” that have been running the party for the last two decades are worthless, and will continue to shove lessers like McCain on us at every opportunity. Recall that before Specter defected to the Dark Side the GOP establishment was lining up to support him and undercut Toomay. And in 2006 the GOP pored millions into Lincoln Chafee’s failed Senate campaign (after losing “Missing Linc” promptly switched to the Democrat Party).

This year and the next the GOP establishment will push losers like Chris Christie in NJ, Mark Kirk in Illinois and Mike Castle in Deleware. Should these bozos manage to sneak into office (ACORN will not allow this to happen), they will suck up to the state-run media and carry the Democrats’ water.

A third political party. Please. Now.

Those may be the most import words in the whole piece.

Why might se quit?

Threats against her family getting worse? (Remember what they did to the church her children might have been in?)

Can’t afford the legal fees? The complaints don’t stop.

The Entrenched Republicans in the District of Chicago won’t support her? (Remember the Entrenched Republicans in Juneau?)

The job in Juneau is done and she needs the additional degrees of freedom (see “Physics 101″) to found and launch a third party effort?

And there is such a need to BUILD up and FIGHT for our state and our country. I choose to FIGHT for it! And I’ll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE… I’ll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won’t deride them.

I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don’t care what party they’re in or no party at all. Inside Alaska - or Outside Alaska.

But I won’t do it from the Governor’s desk.

Really, name me anyone who is viable in 2010 to hone a message the electorate will receive favorably?

She simply can not wait till 2010 passes to bring the Republican party back from the brink. By then it is too late. If the liberals take an even stronger foot hold in 2010 the system is locked for likely the rest of the lifetimes of the readers of this blog. Observe England and its downfall.

She is not a quitter, she is a realist.

I think she needed the blessing of her family, as they certainly now know the Hell they will go thru for 3 years. She has gotten their commitment.
